The good news of a successful breeding pair of Ospreys was posted on 03 September 2024 on the National Parks and Wildlife Service website here. This is an exciting development in the recovery of some of Ireland’s lost biodiversity and comes after breeding was previously confirmed in Northern Ireland in recent years, and the beginning of a reintroduction project by NPWS in the south of the Republic of Ireland. The IRBBP are keen to hear of any summer records of Osprey in Ireland and all records will be treated as confidential.
